  Hello,

  We recently revamped our blog and changed the layout, made new profile designs, etc. We’ve updated our gravatar profile and the wordpress profile picture to display the new design. However, when sharing the link through social media, namely Facebook, the “preview” to the site that shows up on Facebook is still our old design. How do we fix this? Is there another place we need to upload the new design?

  Here’s what I’m currently seeing on my side:

  Is that what you’re seeing when you input http://comeawake.org/ into Facebook as well? If not, can you try one more time? I recently cleared the Facebook cache for your domain so you should see updated information.

  If something still isn’t right, please let me know what should be different!

  Hello! Thanks for the quick response! The screenshot you sent is also what we see when we try to share the link on Facebook. The problem is that the image displayed is our old design. We’d like for our new design to be seen when we share (current profile picture). Sam (live chat support) sent me the link for the Facebook URL debugger. I selected the option to fetch new scrape info. The returned info showed that the correct “Open Graphic” image was collected. However, in the preview for the shared URL, it shows our old design. The cache on this computer was cleared as well. I just tried inputting the link again after seeing your message – same issue, old image.

  We really appreciate your help though! Thanks for clearing the cache for our domain! If you have any other ideas on how to fix this, my team and I would greatly appreciate it!

  Ah – sorry. I completely missed that those two images (your profile and the image in Facebook) were different. I need more coffee apparently! :)

  Can you try setting a larger Blavatar image following the steps here?

  It looks like the current image you have uploaded is under 200×200. Can you try uploading something a bit larger? In theory, Facebook should pull this as the default image for your site.

  Haha, it’s all good! Those are the steps we took to upload the current Blavatar. Is there a certain size we should aim for in uploading a larger one? I’m not the one who makes the designs but I can ask the our guy to do it – just wanted to see if there was a ballpark size we should aim for?

  Facebook normally likes something larger than 200×200 so I think you should be fine with 250×250 or something in that range.
