Displaying bug on IE and Mozilla
-
Hi there,
We’ve noticed that on some of the older Internet browsers (e.g. IE and Mozilla) one of our pages don’t display well and we see an overlapping text with oversized logos (I’d love to attach a screenshot but don’t see how):
http://euparticipation.org/partners-2/Chrome and Safari don’t have this problem. How this could be fixed? I’ve checked and adjusted the sizes of all logos manually, but doesn’t seem to help.
Thanks in advance,

Hello! Can you tell me the specific version of IE and Firefox you’re using when you see this display issue?

Hi,
The person who reported the problem said he is using the latest FF version 37.0.2, you can see the same problem in the current up to date IE version.
Thanks,

Thanks for that info! I do see what you mean in Firefox. This probably has to do with your use of a table on that page. Coding HTML tables is pretty unreliable since browsers do some funky things with them, as you can see.
I can help you try to fix the code on this with some browser-specific styles, but it’s going to be a bit of a mess. Your best option here would be to format the page with out the HTML table.

Thanks for your advice Shawna!
Perhaps I just try to get rid of that table then… it’s just that it helps with the layout of pictures and text alongside.
Will let you know if I still need any help. Thanks again,

Sounds good! Let me know if I can help you reformat that page. Using image alignments will probably help:
