displaying comments

I currently am using the default template for my political blog. What I don’t like is that you can’t read the comments; you have to click on them in order to read them.

Doe anyone know of other free templates where the comments automatically show up underneath the blog?

    Thanks,

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

All themes here have the comments on the “single-post” page that you reach by clicking on either the title of the post or the comments link. That is typical blog behavior, and there is good reason for this. If you have a post that has 100 comments on it, think how far down someone would have to scroll to see the next post. I occasionally read a blog that typically gets 250-700 comments on each post, and if they were on the front page of the blog, that would make the page virtually unnavigable and people would simply not take all the time to page down and down and down to see the next post.

If you self-host a blog, there are some themes that have a link at the bottom of the post that will expand and collapse to allow the comments to be seen, but that theme is not available here. You would have to self-host your own installation of wordpress and then you would be responsible for all upgrades, installations, troubleshooting and backups – and of course it would cost you anywhere from $7 to $25 per month – or more – depending on your storage and bandwidth requirements.
