displaying html link at the top of blog

  • Unknown's avatar

I have a link for visitors to post a review but it’s in html code. I think I understand how to put the link on my sidebar, but I would also like to have the link on my top menu and on my blogroll. The link placed across the top is easiest to see, but I don’t find any reference on how to do that. Thanks for suggestions.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

If you’d like to add that link to your menu at the top of the page, you can do that by editing the custom menu on your site under Appearance > Menus in your site’s WP Admin dashboard (or on the Menus page in the new dashboard area).

You can add a custom link to your menu, and enter the link address (URL) there. That will add the link to your menu so visitors can click from there to the page where they can post a review.

Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

My custom link didn’t translate into a hyperlink that I could click on to go to the site. It shows up at the top, but I can’t click to go to the page. The code was written in html format–do I need the link in http:// format? Thank-you.

    Hi there,

Sorry for not clarifying that! Yes, you’ll need just the link address (URL) starting with http://. You can remove any other HTML from your code, so it’s just the address of the site you want to send people to.
