Displaying images on Imbalance 2
-
I am trying out Imbalance 2 as a theme. How do I get the images to show on the front page? At the moment it shows the title and text from the posts.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Rowland,
I just went and checked out the Imbalance 2 information page (http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/imbalance2/) and it looks like you need to have a featured image set for each post in order to have an image show up for that preview:
Featured Images
To display an image for each post on your blog home page, you’ll need to set a featured image for each post, choosing an image at least 210 pixels wide. (Note that it doesn’t necessarily need to be inserted into the post.)
Once you start setting some featured images, you should be good to go!
Let me know if you have any additional questions.

I hoped/assumed that the images on each post would show up automatically. What you’re saying seems to imply I have to go back and edit every post and make the image featured. Is there another theme that would simply use the images in the individual posts as they are, to achieve a similar effect?

Sadly that is indeed what I’m saying. Almost all of the themes use the Featured Image function in that way, so while there may very well be some themes which fall back to looking for an image that is set within your post, I’m not familiar with any free ones. With that said, one of my co-workers pointed me to either Gridiculous Pro or Gridspace which do seem to pull from the photos which you have uploaded:

Ah! And we found another one which is free, though it says it will only attempt to find images which are not attached as Featured Images. It may be worth a try for you. It’s called Hatch:
