Displaying mathematics on my site
-
My website, PhysicsFromPlanetEarth.wordpress.com looks pretty shabby because the mathematics isn’t displayed clearly. I compose the Latex code for equations using codecogs.com, which has a wordpress markup window. However, the inline equations fall below the line, and the equations that are displayed on separate lines show up way too small. I see that there are plugins that purport to fix these problems, but I don’t see a plugin tab on my administrative panel. I’m guessing that I need to upgrade from the free version of wordpress. Can you tell me what I need to do? Thanks very much. I really want my website to be useful to viewers. Joe

Mybe this article can help you:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/latex/BTW, on WordPress.com blogs like yours https://physicsfromplanetearth.wordpress.com/ You can’t use/add/install plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons:

Thank you. I was aware of the Latex support article, but needed a definitive answer about mathematical plugins. So I’ll have to upgrade to get the equations to look right.
My physics is better than my blogging, so if you can tell me specifically what to do to gain access to plugins, I would be grateful.
Thanks again for your prompt reply.
