Displaying news in a search engine

I am developing a site on a sports theme, over time it began to work out well, there was a traffic of people. My news was quite visible in Google search engine.
Over time, I ran into a problem that lasted about two months (my news stopped appearing in search results).
After that, this problem disappeared, but at the moment my news in the search engine is very far away and is not visible to anyone. Because of this, the traffic of people has greatly deteriorated.
What could be the reason, and how to fix it?
