Displaying posts
-
I have a query about posts. I have tried to search for an answer, but have not found any answers that are helpful.
On my blog, you can either search for post by month posted, or by category. This I am fine with.
What I am not happy with, is that the page you are sent to, which displays all of the related posts, displays the FULL post as part of the list. I write LONG posts, which means older posts are way, way, WAY down the page.
Is there a way that, when you get sent to a page of related posts, display them by titles only, or titles and a small portion of the text, or a picture?
I am no good at coding, if there is a way to do this that does not involve coding I will be very happy. If not, I’ll have to try and find someone who can code.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The archive pages (the ones that list posts by category/date/author/post type/tag/etc.) for some themes show excerpts rather than the full posts but this is built into the theme itself rather than being an option you can switch between. Try it out with your theme (or explore some other themes) to see if this can work for you.
It is also possible (depending on your theme) if you get a paid upgrade to use custom design, you could then use CSS to hide everything but the title/featured image/first paragraph on your archive pages.

Thank you very much.
I have found my theme does not support Excerpts but, using the link you provided, was directed to the “More Tag”.
This has solved my problems.
Thank you again.
