Displaying posts on different pages

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi.. I want to display specific posts under specific pages, like film related posts under the page ‘film’, poetry related under ‘poetry’, etc. But I can only make one page as the blogpage. I have set my other pages as just pages, and not blogs, and so when I create a new addition, it doesn’t notify my readers.

I tried the category method, but then it doesn’t display the featured image on category pages.

My current theme is Coherent. Can someone help me with adding different blogposts to different pages?
    Thanks

  • Howdy,

So, there are three ways you can do this:

    1. Category pages are really the most simply way. However, if Coherent doesn’t display the featured image, you might consider looking for a theme that does display it:

    2. If you are sure that Coherent is the theme that you need for your site, you could consider purchasing a WordPress.com site plan so that you could gain access to the Custom CSS upgrade and use some CSS to force Coherent to display a featured image on category pages:

    3. A newer option is the Blog Posts Block. It allows you to insert a list or grid of up to 100 blog posts on any page. You can choose to show posts based on category, author, or tag, display featured images or excerpts, change the text color, and more.
