Displaying problems…

Hi, I am very disappointed, I spend long hours to format my blog post, and when I publish it, it looks totally different in the browser than in the WordPress application. I use macOS Monterey v 12.4 and WordPress 7.2.0. I checked with different internet browsers, my blog looks different in WordPress and on the web. Can you help? Thank you, Attila

Hi there,
You are referring to https://oktweb.wordpress.com/2022/06/27/opusztaszeri-kirandulas/ yes?
I am able to view the post on your site as well as see the view within the editor, but when I check they seem like they are very close. Can you clarify what is different for you? Also if you are able to share a screenshot of what you are seeing in the editor (sounds like you are using the desktop app) that may help us to see the difference as well, thanks!
To share a screenshot with us, you can upload it to the Media Library on your site, and then copy the image URL. You can see a video of how to do this here: https://d.pr/v/Fcnerp
Once you have the image URL just paste it into your reply and we will be able to see your screenshot, thanks!

Hi, thanks for the answer and helping me. Yes, they are very close, but not the same. Yes, I am using the desktop app. Here are the links. The problems:
– different font type in the app and in the browser
– the description at the bottom of a photo is in the middle in the app and paced to the left is the browser and with different font type
– sometimes there is space between the photos, sometimes they are stacked with no space between them, however when uploding them to the app I use uplod Image and not Gallery or Stacked option
– sometimes there is space between a photo and the following paragraph, sometimes not and the text displayed directly under the photo with no spaceThank you in advance for your help!

I think that this is happening because you’re using an old theme that’s not fully compatible with the latest versions of WordPress and the Block editor.
I recommend switching to a newer theme that fully supports the latest WordPress features. This way, you’ll have no discrepancy between the editor and the published posts.

I like this minimalist theme very much, but as the Mandalorians say, if “This is the way”… I will choose another one. However, as there are so many to choose from, could you recommend one that is close to the currently used theme in style, you know them more than I do, it would be a true time saver for me… thnx!

Hi there,
Trends in website design have changed a bit since your current theme was made, so there aren’t really any themes that fully support the block editor with this type of look. We do still have a few classic themes that are similar to the one you have at the moment, but you’ll have the same issue with them that what you see in the block editor doesn’t exactly match what you see on the site.
But with the newest block themes you’re able to customize the theme’s design itself in the site editor, which could get you pretty close.
If you want to keep the sidebar you could start with something like Stewart, which has a sidebar added by default, and then customize it from there:
https://wordpress.com/theme/stewart/
But if there’s another block theme that’s more to your liking, you can start with that and add a sidebar:
https://wordpress.com/en/support/add-a-sidebar/
So I’d recommend you take a look at our block themes – those are the ones under the Recommended tab if you go to Appearance ->Themes. Once you see one you like, you can then customize it in the editor at Appearance ->Editor:
