Displaying Recent posts onto a html page
-
Hello, i am new to using wordpress so there is a lot i dont know!
what i am trying to do is get my posts to be displayed onto my website homepage.]
i have googled various methods but just wanted to see if anyone here had an idea.
i very much doubt since the two work very differently… but is there anything similar to the twitter widget where you have a copy and paste bit to put on a web page to display recent posts / tweets?
thanks in advance!

please let us know you blog link.
To display the latest posts in a list in an html page read : http://en.support.wordpress.com/archives-shortcode/
i use
in one “All Posts” page in my blog.
[archives type=postbypost]Then you can make a static page with this shortcode as a home page of your blog from Settings -> Reading : then from option “Front page display” select “A static page” and select the page which has the list.

Phoxis solutions will work if your blog is hosted here at wordpress.COM, but not if it is self-hosted on a third-party hosting site such as godaddy, bluehost, etc.

What i have is my website, and the wordpress is hosted with the site,
so its http://www.wastedmagazine.co.uk (excuse the garish fonts! its a Work in progress) and in the black box under welcome i would like updates to wordpress appear inside that box.
also the wordpress is located at http://www.wastedmagazine.co.uk/wordpress
thanks for your time
