Please don’t post the same question twice.

You can’t use javascript, so most “rotating quotation” widgets won’t work here.

I’ve deleted the duplicate of this post.

I didn’t intentionally post twice nor did I see a duplicate post, I’m not that stupid so if a glitch occured I apologise but it would be nice if you actually answered my query instead of getting shirty. if you have nothing helpful to say just shut up. I am quite aware we cannot use Javascript though the given “security” reason is patent nonsense. If Javascript threatens the security of wordpress.com the NOBODY should be storing any kind of customer, client or user information here. Maybe someone who knows the workings of WordPress’s corporate mind can explain that particular itch.

Don’t tell me to use firefox either. Grow up and make your system work with all browsers like the rest of us got used to doing 15 years ago is the answer to that particular obsession.
If any one knows a way of getting any widget to display a variety of text i would be grateful to hear it.

I did answer your question. Happy blogging!

No you did not. Just go “help” someone who wants irrelevant comment, I need help, not pure silliness

    Javascript. Will. Not. Work. Here.

    Re: javascript on wordpress.com blogs
This is the relevant support documentation entry http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/ We are all working on a wpMU (wordpress multi-user) blogging platform therefore security is an issue. If you are not clear about what the issue is then please read this post: Why Javascript is a Security Risk http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2007/10/08/why-javascript…-security-risk/

If the inability to use javascript is a “deal breaker” for you here at wordpress.com then the way to proceed is to hire a web host and download a free standing version of wordpress.org software for self hosting. If you do that the only security risk use of javascript can give rise to is to your own site and computer.

In the event you decide to stay ate wordpress.com then if you use the INove theme you can choose which pages to display a sidebar (containing widgets with quotations) on, but there are no themes that have the feature of allowing you to place different widgets in the sidebar of on varying pages. The INove theme also provides an option for displaying a Notice which bar will display only at the top of posts on homepage. This option is also available in the Monochrome theme.

As far as online rudeness and arrogance goes you are working your way to the top if the troll list. If you want members of this community to help then an attitude adjustment is required and if it doesn’t take place I predict you will soon find yourself “out in the cold”.
