Disqus Add Plugin
-
I’m new to blogging and even less acquainted with computer terminology. However, I’d like to be able to use the Disqus format as an active plugin. Is this possible, or is it something I have to pay for?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I searched for you. We cannot use Disqus on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.
There is no FTP access to our free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers cannot install plugins.

Again, this probably a dumb question, but what was it I paid $26 for? Something about a URL or my domain??? It’s not a big deal, I just don’t understand all the terminology. I’m so old school, I remember Miss Beadle, my teacher in Walnut Grove!

Well, it sounds like you got a custom domain, mapping, and privacy for that cost. In the future, don’t buy things unless you understand exactly what they are because not all purchases can be refunded. This was a good purchase, though and we do recommend it.

What you paid for is what you got. Nothing more or nothing less. Maybe you did not read this prior to making your purchase:
Domains – Important Notes Before UpgradingIf Disqus is important to you then you can hire a web host and set up a WordPress.org install and use it.
