disregrad previous two days messages about re-connect error
-
disregard my previous problem…I was logged in under a social login which was different from my login to wordpress.com….’Disconnected’ error no longer shows.
-
I do not see any threads like the ones you refer to under this username account https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/dlature
-
but an old problem re-emerges. WordPress.com now (again) says I have no site. Here’s the message when I click on “My Site” at the top of the page:
You don’t have any WordPress sites yet.
Would you like to start one?
“Create Site” button presented -
What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the wordpress.COM hosted site you refer to please?
And, exactly which wordpress.COM username account registered that site?
-
And, to add to the confusion, this is what it says on my “My Profile” tab, at the bottom :
Manage which sites appear in your profile.EcoEcclesia, OccupyTheology, and Theoblogical all live here
(link to) ecoecclesia.org -

ecoecclesia.org is not hosted by wordpress.COM

ns1.winhost.com
ns2.winhost.com
ns3.winhost.comThis is wordpress.COM support. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.Also, note that we do not provide Jetpack support https://jetpack.me/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackHowever, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

I probably didn’t realize it didnt get to the forums. I probably just posted it to the form for help. But I resolved that one. Now the old problem re-asserts itself. WordPress.com telling me I dont have a site, even though it is entered in to the URL, and I am logged in to wordpress.com
-
Here’s a good example, under notifications:
Your blog, EcoEcclesia, appears to be getting more traffic than usual! 33 hourly views – 0 hourly views on average
A spike in your stats (the link for this results in the same “You don’t have any WordPress sites yet.
Would you like to start one?”
So it knows I have stats, but the link doesn’t get there. -
This is Jetpack that connects me to WordPress. It is Jetpack under which I am posting to “Support” that links me to these forums!
-
Also, note that we do not provide Jetpack support https://jetpack.me/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org

this , also, happened back a few months ago when I first tried Jetpack. There was confusion with the wordpress people about Jetpack. It is a WordPress plugin that is designed to connect ANY wordpress blog (wordpress.com hosted or not) to various WordPress.com tools.)
-
I just posted a forum message using only links from within Jetpack, and apparently I end up in WordPress.com areas that do not realize I am posting re: problems with Jetpack being disconnected from WordPress.com. Ironic, as this was the very thing it was designed and promoted to do.

the links need to pass along form values that alert the WordPress team that this is a Jetpack issue. Like I said, this happened before, and the Jetpack plugin makes it a rather seamless activity to jump from links within it right over to WordPress support. So be forewarned. I’m surprised this isn’t a bigger issue.

give it at least a minute before you feel the need to scold me about waiting patiently. It happened yet again with your last reply. Messages DO tend to cross one another within the space of ONE MINUTE. I posted three thoughts in a row in an attempt to answer all your questions or clarify something you weren’t understanding accurately.
