Distinguish Pingbacks from Comments in Stats and Recent Comment Widget

  The stats page combines the number of ping backs with original comments added to posts. Also, the recent comments widgets will show pingbacks as well as original comments.

  I suggest separating these two forms because pingbacks are not the same as local comments. A pingback may come from a remote server and the reference may be just a fraction of the total remote post. Meanwhile, a local comment is unambiguously attached to the post and devoted to the post or other comments on the same post.

  Comments are not the same as ping-backs. For stats, I’d like to see the number of actual comments. For recent comment widget, I’d like to see only actual comments. Pingbacks should be separate stats and separate widget.
