Distorted featured pages slider on horizontal screen

Hello, my blog is set up with the Veni theme and I am having a problem with the featured posts slider. When I view the website on a mobile device, the featured images and header become distorted when the screen is turned horizontally so that the text overlaps or the image gets stretched out so that it is only partially visible. It seems there is a problem with the image and header resizing. Is there a CSS fix for this?
