Distorted Photos in Internet Explorer and Firefox but not in Safari?

  I have a Mac and use Safari which works fine for my blog and theme. However, today I logged on from a PC using Firefox and Internet Explorer, and noticed that the photos were completely distorted in these browsers! HELP!!! How do I ensure the remain the right size proportionally in all browsers? Thanks.
