Distortion on my blog

  There is a distortion on my blog in a widget – Choose category. It’s wider than it should be and I can’t figure out what I did wrong. Most likely it’s my fault but the new YouTube format could be an other reason. And of cause the new design here and WP.com. All suggestions are very welcome. :-D

  When using the dropdown for the categories widget, it will be as wide as your longest category name. You can edit the widget options from Appearance->Widgets and uncheck the box for dropdown if you’d like to display the list of categories instead.

  No, that can’t be the case. The problem is new but the category names are old. There must be an other explanation.

  Otherwise I would have had the problem all along, – for years, right? But it is brand new…

  I removed the dropdown. But I don’t understand it. I’ll mark the thread as resolved.

  Perhaps you switched themes recently. In some themes you get what you saw (and what mtdewvirus says), in some other the extra part will be hidden instead of spilling out of the sidebar, and in some themes it will be ok. Try Contempt, for instance.

  Thanks. But I think I was wrong. I did not have that drop down function from the beginning. It just appeared by itself when the new dashboard came online. I think this is what happened…
