'Distraction Free writing' in the new editor?

I love the ‘Distraction-Free writing’ button in the classic editor. It exists in the new editor yet it is extremely wide, a full screen of text: yuck. The default has too many visual elements to be comparable either. Am I missing something? Please help, thank you.

I’m not entirely sure of the timeline at the current moment. We’re focused right now on making sure all of the necessary features work correctly in the new editor. Since the distraction-free writing mode is still available within the classic editor in the smaller format, it’s not the highest priority. However, I we’re definitely taking a look! I’ll be sure to update this thread when I know more.

Oh, just so you know, I still using the orig editor because it makes everything but the text you’re writing disappear

Not a problem! I completely understand. I personally like the buttons being there depending on whether or not I’m writing in Markdown, but I can understand not wanting them there.

It distracts, it sucks, it waists time. Please put an option into the dashboard, where I can turn it off for always and for good.

In my opinion, the old distraction free mode was exactly what it should always look like: Nothing but the text.
I hope we can still use the old editor until something similar is done for the new one.

I am still being nagged with biboops. Please rid me of this slow, infantilizing, useless trash object (whatever it is supposed to be). I am perfectly comfortable editing HTML code in classic mode.
