  @brechbuehl – We’ve responded to you several times about this issue. There is an opt-out link that will save a cookie to your computer so that your “New Post” and “Edit” links default to the classic editor. Timethief and many Happiness Engineers have told you where to find this link. We’ve also collected your specific feedback about the new editor.

  If you’re having issues opting out of the new editing experience, please create your own thread and add the tag “modlook” so that we can help you with it.

  If you’re just upset that we haven’t created an account-based opt-out, that’s understandable. However, your continued posting in this way is verging toward spam. You’re welcome to open your own post to discuss these issues, but please do not continue to post into other users threads about this.

  Do you think I am stupid enough not to read your instructions?
  1) Your advice is useless when editing an existing post.
  2) There are people out there who delete cookies on a regular basis. This is sound security oriented practice, when you are up to more than just using a computer for playing around.

  The only reasonable response is an option in the dashboard, writing, where I can choose to turn off beep, beep, boop.

  Now I am not frustrated with the behaviour of the wordpress people. I am annoyed with beep beep boop, that’s it.

  Once the cookie is set, editing existing posts will also open in the classic editor. Are you having trouble with this?

  There are people out there who delete cookies on a regular basis.

  We understand this. And as we’ve told you before, the issue has been raised with the developers. So far, they have decided not to change their approach to this setting. None of us here in the forums can make this change happen.

  I understand that this is frustrating for you. And we’re happy to help you with this further. However, we do need you to open your own threads in the future. Feel free to add the tag “modlook” to alert us staff that you’d like us to read and chime in on your threads.
