Disturbing statement when writing a comment

  • Unknown's avatar

    When writing a comment as a visitor on my site it says : It’s a beutiful day” (in danish: “det er en dejlig dag”) above the writers name when he/she has send it. I have tried to find where it is on the blog to remove it, but failed. It keeps serious people away from writing as they believe it will show on their comment when I have approved it. Though it doesn’t it’s still distubing for people who don’t know.
    Can you help?

    Best regards
    Anders

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I don’t see that anywhere on your blog.

    I see this in the metadata: Dette indlæg var tilføjet den. januar 28, 2009 at 01:03 og er gemt under Artikler. . Du kan følge alle svar til dette indlæg via RSS 2.0 feed. Du kan Efterlad et svar, eller trackback fra din egen side.

    No, fortunately it’s not visible on the blog, but when one write a comment it’s visible above one’s name when the comment is send. It seems for the writer that the statement follows the name and comment. And I know it will discourage some people from commenting on the articles.

    Okay, I found it.

    The only way to get rid of that would be to pay for the CSS upgrade and then insert the following code:

    .comment-author vcard {display: none;}

    You could try it out using the free preview feature to make sure it works the way you want.

    But honestly, I can’t see that it’s worth the money or the effort. You can’t see the message until after you’ve left the comment; it doesn’t appear on the posted comments; and it’s hardly offensive.

    If you really don’t like it, choose another theme.

    So it’s attached to the theme, good to know. Thanks for your help and information.
