Dividing post in RSS feed

    Hello, I have a question relating to feeds.
    I have seen posts “cut” in the feed (in my case bloglines) obliging the reader to click onto the site to read the rest of the post, where it then appears whole. When I tried to do this using the “more” feature, the post was also cut on my actual site. How can I get round this?

    You can’t. There is no way to get around this truncation if you use the more tag in a post. The long and short of this is you have two setting choices: full and summary and if you use the <!–more–> feature, it will cut off posts in RSS feeds.

    Options -> Reading
    Syndication Feeds
    Show the most recent: posts
    For each article, show:
    ___ Full text
    ___ Summary

    Note: If you use the <!–more–> feature, it will cut off posts in RSS feeds.

    Thanks for answering. I shall try the “summary” setting next time I post.

    You’re welcome but please note that the same thing re: rss feed cut offs at the more tag point still applies.
