DKIM record for Mailchimp

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi everyone,

I’ve been looking around for several days but I’ve been unable to find a solution to my problem. I would like to Authenticate my wordpress.com email address to avoid Spam filters in Mailchimp. I follow the steps but there is no way I can enter the right values into the CNAME boxes. The data provided by Mailchimp doesn’t fit properly (an “Invalid Name” in the Host box is shown).

The Mailchimp instructions are as follows:

” Set a TXT record for willspectorylosfatus.com to:

    v=spf1 include:servers.mcsv.net ?all
Set the CNAME record for k1._domainkey.willspectorylosfatus.com to:

    dkim.mcsv.net “

Could you help me fixing this?

    Thank you very much.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

Have you tried adding a dot at the end of the dkim.mcsv.net entry so it would be “dkim.mcsv.net.” ?

Please write back if you need more help regarding this issue.

    Thanks,

    Onur

Hi Onur, thank you for the quick response.

My problem is not in the Alias box (where dkim.mcsv.net gives me no error message), but on the Host box (it’s here where the incorrect value message appears when entering k1._domainkey.willspectorylosfatus.com ).

    Any idea? Thanks!

Normally, DKIM entries are also entered as TXT, try to see if you can enter the values as a TXT.

    I hope this helps,

Ok, I’ve just done it, but the only way I could fill in the fields was like this:

    Name: dkim.mcsv.net
    Text: k1._domainkey.willspectorylosfatus.com

I don’t know if the info in each field is the propper one or it shoul be the other way round. In any case this is the only way it lets me create the entry ( having k1._domainkey.willspectorylosfatus.com in the Text field is not allowed).

I think I’ll have to wait for a while for the changes to take place. I’ll let you know if it worked. Thank you!

Good morning, I’m afraid this is still not working… For what I’ve read the problem could be in the “_” (underscore) sign appearing in “k1._domainkey.willspectorylosfatus.com” not being recognised by the wordpress.com DNS system. Anyone could tell me something about it? I think I’m running out of ideas here… Thanks!!
