How do I setup my DNS entry to point to my new site without moving my dns servers over to wordpress.com

it is actually for my friend. She has paid for the premium plan and would like to make the linke mydomain.com be the primary. I have read your tutorials and I can not move the ns maps to point to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM, NS2.WORDPRESS.com and NS3.WORDPRESS>COM. If I do, I loose some other services that require the dns be hosted with them.
I do however have the ability to add records to our DNS server. I do not know how you would like it mapped.
example:
A mydomain.com 192.0.78.17
or
cname mydomain.com mydomaincom.wordpress.comany help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

It’s hard for me to give advice without seeing her account. From what you’ve said, it sounds like she may be trying to setup domain mapping:
