Hi there –
Thanks for getting in touch. We can help you sort this out. It sounds like you bought a domain that you wish to use with WordPress.com. Is that right?
All of our hosting plans are visible on https://wordpress.com/pricing/
Can you tell me more about your goals for the project on happyheartshappyminds.com? What sort of functionality do you need there? These details will help us point you towards the best hosting plan option for the project and your budget. These plans can be upgraded at any time, and it’s safe to start with the personal option. In order for your domain to point to WordPress.com the name servers need to be updated to:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and NS2.WORDPRESS.COMThe full instructions for connecting your domain are on this page: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

I have an existing domain name which is expiring soon. I have bought a new domain name but the company said I need a dns record from WordPress in order to make it work so that’s what I need to have. Thank you

Is happyheartshappyminds.com the existing URL or the new one? Because that site does not appear to be hosted here with WordPress.com. So I’m not sure why the registrar would have told you to talk to us. You need DNS records from the host you are using. And while we would love to have you hosted here with us (we have world class WordPress-specific support, automated updates/backups, and top-notch security. See our plans here!), your site is currently hosted with Siteground. You can see the current nameservers pointing to Siteground here:
