    I am just really confused. I need to set the DNS stuff but am not knowledgable to even know if I am on the right page or what the DNS stuff is. I believe I have done everything to transfer my domain over to wordpress from namecheap.com. I want everything in one place to make it easier for me to work with. So help? Please.

    Hi there – It’s not possible to transfer domains to WordPress.com entirely. To use your domain with your blog, you’ll need to log into your account at Namecheap. Then, follow their instructions here to change your domain’s name servers:
    http://www.namecheap.com/support/knowledgebase/article.aspx/767/10/how-can-i-change-the-nameservers-for-my-domain

    You’ll want to delete these:
    Name Server: DNS1.REGISTRAR-SERVERS.COM
    Name Server: DNS2.REGISTRAR-SERVERS.COM
    Name Server: DNS3.REGISTRAR-SERVERS.COM
    Name Server: DNS4.REGISTRAR-SERVERS.COM
    Name Server: DNS5.REGISTRAR-SERVERS.COM

    And replace them with these:
    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

    Once you’ve done this, it can take some time to take effect, but feel free to reply here and I’ll check that you’ve got everything set up correctly. :)

    Remember that when you do this, your domain remains registered with Namecheap and you’ll still need to renew it with them every year, but it will point to your WordPress.com site.
