DNS changes for site hosted on Go-Daddy
-
I have a domain registered on WordPress.com but the hosting is on Go-Daddy.
I have changed the Nameservers to the Go-Daddy nameservers and left it for 72 hours, but the site is showing as Parked on WordPress.com.
I checked with Go-Daddy and they are not seeing the A Record.
I checked the support section on WordPress.com and it says for Go-Daddy to change the A record on Edit DNS to point to the IP address for the hosting site on Go-Daddy. I have done this and checked the IP details with Go-Daddy.
The site is still showing as parked on WordPress.com.
The site is tribeporty.org.
Thanks for help in advance. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
Here’s a staff response for the parked domain problem:That often happens when you change both the nameservers AND set up an A Record. You need to do one or the other, not both. If you are using an A Record, you need to have WordPress.com nameservers. If you are using your webhosts nameservers, you do not need an A Record.

Thanks for the swift reply. I changed the nameservers first and left them for 72 hours but they still did not resolve to the Go-Daddy host, so I changed the A record. I’ve now reverted back to the WordPress nameservers and left the new A Record in place to see whether this clears it.
Will leave it for 24 hours and see whether this resolves it. -
I see new content now instead of the parked page that was there before. It’s one line of text that reads, “Hello, we are really sorry but we are undergoing redevelopment. TribePorty will be back very soon!”
