dns client transfer prohibited domain mapping
-
I have my own domain name hosted elsewhere and use domain mapping here at wp.com. I forwarded destination to(http://thepickleanalysis.wordpress.com) and changed the servers(ns1.wordpress.com/ns2wordpress.com/ns2wordpress). Also, I did “Put blog here” for the domain(thepickleanalysis.com) after i purchased the credit, now it’s empty, but when I switch it back to thepickleanalysis.wordpress.com it works. Help.

Your domain name is working fine for me. The client-transfer-prohibited thing is normal, it’s not an error message.

Thank you for the quick response. I went to thepickleanalysis.com and I get “Can not display web page”, but when I go to thepickleanalysis.wordpress.com it’s fine. I also did this with two computers and the iphone to view it.

yes! how come i can’t view it? it worked fine on safari over my phone once, then i refresh it went back to “cannot display webpage.” i also tried different browsers(safari, mozilla,ie). no luck :(

Are they all on the same connection? The problem could be a firewall that stops the mapped domain. We’ve seen that before.
