DNS CNAME route

  Hello fellow WordPressers!
  I am trying to add a subdomain to my registered custom domain name for my WordPress.com account.
  All is well and good, but what I would like to do is something like this:
  CNAME [subdomain] www.example.com/folder/maybe_another_folder
  but it gives me an error.

  Is there any way to do this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You need to add the CNAME at the Registrar – which looks like Godaddy

  I switched the DNS service to point at WordPress tho.

  I mean i switched the nameservers to WordPress. That means that the DNS control is managed by WordPress.

  Since your domain name is mapped to a WordPress.COM blog – things are a bit more complex – down the page a bit are the instructions

  And… I just noticed from the link you gave me, it says:

  Also, we do not currently allow mapping to subdirectories, such as example.com/blog.

  So, problem solved.

  yes that will also do it to you – ran into that one last year
