dns confusion

  • Unknown's avatar

I am having a really hard time putting my blog onto my domain with godaddy. I have read all about it but I know nothing about code and what to input. I tried putting this in:
    NS19.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
    NS20.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
because I found that on the godaddy website.

I honestly don’t know what I’m doing and am extremely confused. I would appreciate in depth instructions. I wouldn’t ask if I hadn’t already tried everything I knew!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    1) Do you have a custom domain name (your-name.com) that is registered with Godaddy?

    2) Do you want that name to send people to your blog namihighcountry.wordpress.com. that you have here?

If the answer is yes – then use the instructions below – please read them twice before doing anything – If the answer to either of the above questions is No – then we need more info to help you

ok i added this to the godaddy site:
    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
it’s the “edit dns” part on the wordpress site that I don’t know what to put
    thanks

Unless you are trying to get custom email to match the custom domain name or something like that the “edit DNS” is left blank

Did you also do all of the domain mapping in the link above? What is the domain name you are mapping?

    You be welcome

It can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to reach the far corners of the internet – changes usually start after a few hours but results can be erratic until the changes fully propagate
