DNS controls exist within wordpress.com even after i transferred the domain to google domains

    I transferred the domain digitalmuser.com to google domains and pointed the A recored to another host, but it is still pointed towards my wordpress blog. Changing DNS records in google domains has no effect, where is any change I make in wordpress mapped domain DNS settings, takes effect immediately. How do I cancel domain mapping and move control over to google domains? My blog is digitalmuser2.wordpress.com. I’m trying to point the domain towards tumblr. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
