DNS Email
-
Hi,
I have mapped my domain annaw.org to my wordpress blogg annawesterling.wordpress.com and that have worked fine. Now I’m trying to get my e-mail (email visible only to moderators and staff) to work as well. It worked before, but then I had an ambition to link it to my gmail so I started playing around with it, trying to figure out something to work, and now it doesn’t work at all.
I’ve changed back to the original settings:
MX 10 mail.annaw.org.
MX 20 mail2.annaw.org.
But it still doesn’t work, but I don’t get an error message when i try to e-mail it, nothing just happens. Now I waited for 8 h and it still doesn’t work. So my question is are the above correct and should I just wait a bite longer? And then how long?I have all the e-mails of annaw.org at my webhoast (binero), and there they just forward them to my gmail address.
The second question is if I want to map it to my gmail, as the ambition was from the beginning, where do I find the correct DNS within gmail to put in there? The instructions I find seems to be all about google apps, but not about ordinary gmail. Or is that impossibly?
But right now I would be happy if just got it to work again.
Best,
Anna

Hi Anna – It sounds like the best solution for you would be to remove the DNS records you’ve added and set up email forwarding:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/Then, your domain email would just be sent into (forwarded to) your regular gmail account. Does that make sense?
