Hello, I’m a little lost right now, my wordpress site won’t work because of some dns error and I don’t understand why. I had the premium plan for a year and it worked. When it was over I waited a little before paying again and chose the personal plan. I suppose this is what triggered the problem. Isn’t the domain included in the personal plan ? If so, why doesn’t it work suddenly ?

Since you waited, it seems like your domain name of levetoietpense.com was not renewed in time and therefore you do not own it any longer according to WHOIS.

Since you did pay for the personal plan, are you able to repurchase this domain again through WordPress?

When I go to my domains I see it under “primary domain” and it is labelled as “mapped domain”. There is this message “levetoietpense.com’s name server records should be configured.” but no indications as to how the configuration works. Can I take it without paying again ?

The registrar requires an $80 redemption fee, in addition to any renewal fees due, to restore it to our account.

Let us know if you’d like us to make an invoice. I would need to send it via the account on file.

Thank you for your help. How exactly can I repurchase the domain ? If I repurchase it, do I have to do pay 80$ every year in addition to the personal plan or is this a fee due to the fact that I forgot to renew my plan for a while ? That is to say, if I pay this fee, then pay my plan in time every year, I won’t ever have to pay 80$ more ?

Hi @philoremi, I would need to send the invoice to the account on file. Do you want me to send it?

The redemption fee is a late fee of sorts we have to pay to get the domain back from the registrar. It is a one-time fee added to your regular renewal pricing. You will not need to pay it yearly if you renew your domain on time.
