DNS errors

I recently transferred my domain to blogger… but apparently there are problems with the DNS records and/or nameservers..
Kardotim helped me with changing the nameservers before but I’m not sure if this resolved the problem.
I keep getting a message from Googlebot saying that they cannot access my site.
“Over the last 24 hours, Googlebot encountered 1 errors while attempting to retrieve DNS information for your site. The overall error rate for DNS queries for your site is 100.0%.

Recommended action
If the site error rate is 100%:
Use a WHOIS tool to verify that http://thelovelynest.com/ has a proper whois record and that nameservers are configured for the site. If not, contact your domain registrar to update your whois records.
Using a DNS lookup tool, verify that the nameserver’s name can be resolved to an IP address. If not, either update your whois record to contain an IP address for your nameserver, or update the DNS records for nameserver.
Using a DNS lookup tool, verify that http://thelovelynest.com/ can be resolved to an IP address. If it can’t, update the DNS record for http://thelovelynest.com/ on your nameserver.”Can you provide any information about how to do this? I had problems with my nameservers before…

This type of error is common with the method that Blogger requires for mapping a domain.
Are you having any trouble accessing the site itself?

I’m not sure if this has to do with the problem or not but when you type in the address: thelovelynest.com – there will be an error and says it cannot find the page.
However, when you type in the address: http://www.thelovelynest.com – it will lead you to my blog ….
I’m wondering about this..

Right, that’s the problem with that type of mapping. Our DNS system can only cover specific subdomains, not the root domain.
You might want to consider transferring to a registrar with more fully featured DNS options: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/transfer-domain-registration/

Hello macmanx, I looked into this option when I first transferred to blogger.. I was very confused and experienced many difficulties, at that time, another staff member helped by changing my A records and DNS records.. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/can-i-transfer-my-blog-to-blogger?replies=10
I thought there weren’t any problems until I received the message that Googlebot can’t access my site….
Is there an easy way to resolve this? I appreciate your help so much!

I made a slight change which may fix this but it can take up to 72 hours for it to take noticeable affect.
When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors”. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally with your domain.
If you still have trouble viewing the site after 72 hours has passed, please try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies:

I’ve cleared cache, cookies and DNS cache…. do you have any other idea of what I can do to solve this problem? I’m at a loss :(

Perhaps the A Record and CNAME values for Blogger have changed (another reason for why name servers are better, but Blogger doesn’t offer those).
Would you please double-check with Blogger and let us know hat they say the current values should be for your blog?

I just don’t understand…. why do you need to type “www.thelovelynest.com” in order to access my blog?? Before I was hosted by Blogger, you could simply type “thelovelynest.com” and you could see my blog.
Who do I have to contact here? I’ve reached out on Googles forums but haven’t received an answer. This is been an issue for so long now. I’d appreciate any help so much.

This is information I got from Google Help:

Since this is the case, how can I update my DNS records on my nameserver correctly?

You added a Site Redirect upgrade, which will definitely break everything for sure, so I have removed and refunded that.
I believe we have finally found the problem, but it can take a few hours for the change to take effect.
