DNS/Google Workspace Issue

    I have been randomly dealing with email issues with the Google Workspace emails connected to the domain I manage for my client. Twice we randomly stopped receiving emails. The domain is on Squarespace but the nameservers were changed to point to WordPress, and the Squarespace support agent told me that the email issue would have to be on the WordPress end to fix. Any ideas?

    Hi there,

    DNS records are managed from where the nameservers are pointing. Since you have pointed your nameservers to WordPress.com, all your DNS records will be managed via WordPress.com.

    To resolve the email delivery issue with your Google Workspace, you will need to publish all the necessary DNS records required for Google Workspace that you previously added via Squarespace, now on WordPress.com. You can follow this guide to add DNS records on WordPress.com:

    https://wordpress.com/support/domains/custom-dns/add-a-new-dns-record/

    Once you publish those records, the issue with Google Workspace should be resolved.

    If you prefer to have your DNS records managed via Squarespace, you can point your nameservers back to Squarespace and connect the domain to your site hosted on WordPress.com using A records and CNAME. You can follow the steps in the link below to do that:

    Thank you for your reply! That is very helpful. The issue I’m faced with right now, is that I can’t login in to that WP account to make those changes, because when I try, they email me a login link to the email connected to the domain but I’m not receiving any emails right now. So I can’t login. I don’t know if there’s a way to contact WordPress directly so they can help me from the back end…
