  We own our domain through GO DADDY.
  It recently went down, and GO DADDY says all is good on their end.

  I tried again to MAP our wordpress blog to our domain but got…
  Sorry but 8branches.com is already mapped to a WordPress.com blog.

  Not sure what I’m doing wrong. HELP!

  Hey there!

  It appears as if you haven’t yet completed the domain mapping process.

  8branches.com needs to “point” to your site on the WordPress.com servers. In order to do that, you should change your name servers with your domain registrar (GoDaddy) to the following:

  ns1.wordpress.com
  ns2.wordpress.com
  ns3.wordpress.com

  Right now, your name servers are pointing to GoDaddy, which is why you go to a GoDaddy landing page whenever you type your domain into your address bar.

  Here is GoDaddy’s support page to help you in the process of adjusting your DNS:

  Follow the instructions for Domain: Here, Website: Elsewhere.

  Once that’s done, it can take up to 72-hours for the adjustments to propagate throughout the internet, although generally, the process is much faster.
