DNS issues

  What would it cost me to just use your DNS service for whole-again.org? I now host the site with Dreamhost and use wordpress.org. Would you recommend transferring the domain name to Dreamhost?

  Hi Bruce,

  If you want to keep your domain whole-again.org registered at WordPress.com, you can do that for $26/year. (That’s $18/year for domain registration and $8/year for private registration).

  If you’d like to do that, you can go to Store > My Upgrades in your dashboard here at WordPress.com. Next to the WordPress.com Premium upgrade, you can click the “Cancel” link. From there, you can follow the on-screen instructions to split up the Premium upgrade into its separate parts. That will let you renew the domain separately and let the other upgrades included in WordPress.com Premium expire (since you don’t need them anymore).

  However, you’re also welcome to transfer the domain name to Dreamhost, if you’d like. It can be handy to manage everything for your website (domain and hosting) in one place.
