DNS MX records not saving

  • Unknown's avatar

I cannot get my DNS to save properly. I keep entering it in, it keeps not saving. I cannot get my mail forwarding to work unless my DNS can save the MX records. Every time I hit save, it says that I have saved properly and then I refresh the page, only to find the my MX records have not saved.

  • Hey there,

Sorry to hear that. I can see that you were able to save a TXT entry in your DNS very recently. I tried to save a sample MX record as well and it successfully saved. Can you kindly go back and give it another shot?

If this remains an issue, I can assist you in editing your DNS. Please let me know what needs to be done. Thank you!

    Hi,

I have given this a few more tries. I’m glad that you were able to save a MX record, but it was incorrect and now I can’t get rid of it and I can’t save new ones. If you can add MX records, this is what I am looking to have in my DNS records:

MX ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.thepullapp.com mail handled by @. with priority 5
MX ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.thepullapp.com mail handled by @. with priority 5
MX ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.thepullapp.com mail handled by @. with priority 10
MX ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.thepullapp.com mail handled by @. with priority 10
MX ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.thepullapp.com mail handled by @. with priority 1

Thank you so much for your help!

  • Hi there!

I can see that you’ve already setup email forwarding. Please bear in mind that email forwarding is different from having a full email hosting service which you are trying to setup with Google Apps.

If you do go for Google Apps, which I can help you with, email forwarding has to be first disabled. Let me know if that’s alright. Thank you!
