DNS needs to be updated
-
I am incredibly ignorant when it comes to this sort of thing, so please forgive me. I’ve allowed my two domain subscriptions to expire and now the system is telling me I need to “remove any existing nameservers and add the following” before I can renew my subscriptions. I cannot seem to figure out how to do this. I’ve tried using the support system to no avail, and would greatly appreciate some help. Thanks!

Hi there,
The message that you’re getting where it says that the DNS needs to be updated is really just a notification saying that the domains’ DNS is not currently pointing at your site. The same message would be displaying if you had manually gone in and changed your DNS to point towards another hosting company.
In this case however, the DNS is incorrect because the domains have expired. The expiration process for domains is a long one, usually taking about 80 days. For the first couple of weeks, you can get the domain back for its usual fee, but after that the domain registry charges a redemption fee of $80 on top of the renewal.
Your domains have been expired for 49 days in one case and 79 days in the other.
The domain which has been expired for 79 days, boozebantor.com, it is in the process of being returned to the registry and will be available for purchase any day. It cannot be renewed any longer, even for the additional price.
Your other domain, boozebanter.com, can still be redeemed if you’d like. Let me know if it’s something you’d like to pursue and I’ll send a link with the payment details.
