DNS needs to be updated – new domain purchased from WordPress gives server error

I purchased the domain http://www.taramacdonald.me and mapping for $25. However, whenever I try to preview my WordPress.com blog, type in the new address (www.taramacdonald.me), or search for it online, I get a ‘Server Nor found’ error.
The receipt for my purchases was sent to me by email. The new domain appears in my settings. But when I check my Upgrades, it says ‘DNS needs to be updated’.
What does this mean? How can I get access to my new name (www.taramacdonald.me)?

Thank you Ariwinokur. WordPress refunded my purchase and I tried again but I got the same problem.
Jeremy – at WordPress.com – is going to try to add it manually. Let’s hope it works this time!

Got it! Jeremey fixed ‘er right up. Now, to figure out what went wrong so it doesn’t happen again… I have no idea what the problem was. In any case, big relief and happy.

I knew Jeremy would get it working! And I’m sure they will get this domain issue resolved. Always looking at the code behind the site and improving it!

Yeah Jeremey was great thanks! I still don’t know what the problem was – sounds like a system glitch. In any case, I was very impressed with the customer service and I’m really glad we figured it out before someone else bought the domain. :)
