DNS Problem

    Hi!
I mapped a Worpress blog to a personal domain.
There’s not problem with that, but the mail is not working properly.
I can receive mails but when I try to send messages an error appears: “Error smtp (-1) server connection failed”.
I’ve contact with my provider and advise me that I have to edit a DNS: “CNAME – mydomain.es”, but this DNS its blocked so I can’t edit it.
I tried to add a new one, but it doesn’t work.
What can I do to resolve it?

    Thank you so much.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi!

Just to clarify, you’re referring to trasteatro.es. Is that correct?

If you click “Edit Domain” and then “Edit DNS” here, you should see a CNAME record:

    https://trasteatro.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

Currently, the record is as follows:

    CNAME webmail.trasteatro.es alias of serviciodecorreo.es.

You can edit that record by using the pencil icon shown here when hovering over the row:

Can you try editing that record to include the information provided by your email provider?

Yes I want to edit the DNS of trasteatro.es.
But I have to change the other type CNAME DNS.
    “DNS – CNAME – trasteatro.es”
In this DNS the pencil icon doesn’t appear.

My provider adviced me about not to change the CNAME alias of serviciodecorreo.es

    Hi!

The *.trasteatro.es CNAME record (the one that says “Handled by WordPress.com”) is a default record that you cannot change. It directs the www version of your domain (www.trasteatro.es) to trasteatro.es. You’ll want to leave it in place.

If you need to add an additional CNAME record, you can use the option at the bottom to add a new record shown here:

    http://d.pr/i/17Wkr

Can you give that a try? More instructions here:
