DNS problems

  Hi WordPress.

  I recently purchased Domain mapping so I could change my blog from .wordpress.com to .com the problem I keep having is that I keep getting a message that ‘my DNS needs to be updated’.

  I have followed all the instructions but I still keep getting the same message so I must be doing something wrong. Are NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM the name servers I should use? I don’t have an external domain registrar.

  Hi there,

  The domain theboleyninheritance.com is currently registered with the domain registrar DomainPicking LLC. If you registered the domain there, you can follow this guide to map it to your WordPress.com blog: Map an Existing Domain

  However, since you mentioned you don’t have an external domain registrar, it sounds like you didn’t register the domain there. If that’s the case, please let me know. You won’t be able to use this domain in that case, but I can remove the domain mapping upgrade and credit your account so you can register a new domain, instead.

  I rachel. I didn’t register it with them, I did it with you guys, so yes please do so I can re register.

  Sure thing! I removed the domain mapping upgrade for theboleyninheritance.com and credited your account. Since that domain is already registered elsewhere, you can choose a new domain name and register it with the instructions here: Register a New Domain
