DNS propagation delay

    Hi,

Previously i posted a problem about redirecting the domain name.

While trying to solve the problem, i’ve clicked at the “upgrades – domain” button and i’ve changed the “put blog here” to http://ssdrmaza.wordpress.com

I know that if i want to use my domain, then i actually need to “put blog here” at http://drmaza.com. So, within a minute, i’ve changed back and click the “put blog here” back at http://drmaza.com.

So, my question is, (because of my silly mistake) do i have to wait for two dns propagation delay?

You see, when i was waiting for my website to update the payment that i’ve made, (late upgrade payment cause my website that is supposely to direct to my http://drmaza.com has been changed to http://ssdrmaza.wordpress.com).

After a while i managed to get back my http://drmaza.com. But suddenly, after a few minutes, when i refreshed the site again, the page goes back to http://ssdrmaza.wordpress.com.

Is there any technical error with my site, or is this happen because of the changes that i’ve made with the “put blog here”, and i have to wait again for another DNS propagation delay, so that my website will turn back to http://drmaza.com.

And one more question, the process of updating the DNS about where i want to put my blog is done automatically by the system and it does not consider whether the changes is done on weekends or weekdays, right?

    Thank you.

http://drmaza.com/ does not point to a wordpress.com blog for me.

DNS changes can take a few hours, it’s just how nameservers work. It’s a global thing, not a wordpress.com effect.

DNS propagation times can be in under 2 min. on a global scale. I work for one if you want more information, let me know.
