Our domain DNS is hosted by WordPress but I can’t seem to get to the domain or the DNS servers. All I see under the domains section is the xxxxx.wordpress.com domain

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, do you perhaps need to be logged in with a different username account?

Regardless please let us know the domain name involved. Thanks.

The internet domain is flpps.org. The IT person left the company so it could be under another user but we can’t find anything.

All I need is a copy of the zone file because we want to move all the DNS servers to GoDaddy since it is where the rest of our domains are.

    Thanks for your help

Hello again, looking at the WHOIS entry for flpps.org, the domain registrar is GoDaddy but the DNS pointers are to WordPressdotcom. If you need to change that domain’s DNS pointers, you would be able to do so at the domain dashboard at GoDaddy.

Let me also flag this thread for Staff attention as they have x-ray vision and can see behind the scenes. Thanks for your patience while they get back to you.

  • Hi there,

We do not offer a downloadable zone file that you can just upload at another DNS provider.

But the domain, flpps.org, has also not been connected to WordPress.com since your domain mapping upgrade expired in November 2016. The domain’s name servers may be pointed to us, but we haven’t had any control over that domain for more than two years now.

Once GoDaddy changes the name servers back to theirs, you’ll be able to configure your DNS on their end.

Is there anyway to get a listing of the DNS zone? This domain contains other records that just their web hosting.

  • Sure, flpps. I’ll email with a list of what we have.

The email address on the account was wrong. Can you send them again and thanks for your help!

  • Thanks, I’ve sent them to the new address.
