DNS Records/ Editing an A Record. HELP!
-
Hey guys,
I recently signed up for a service called LaunchRock. LaunchRock provides a custom landing page service. My domain is hosted with WP, and I need help in editing an A record. To use LaunchRock, I want to edit the A record of my base domain.
I need to change the A record for keenempire.com to 50.17.236.4
I tried all the steps, but it says there’s an error. That it has to be a subdomain.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance !

Not necessarily, I don’t want to update/change my nameservers. I’d like to edit the A Record without switching to another registrar. All LaunchRock tells me to do is:
“Create your new A record by entering a Host Name/Alias and Value/Destination (the exact terms may vary by host) as shown below.
Host Name/Alias: many times this should be “@” and might already exist.
Value/Destination: 50.17.236.4″But I get an error every time :(

Does this apply?
* Please note that you cannot add an A record for a root level domain such as mydomain.com through the WordPress.com Custom DNS editor. You must use another DNS hosting provider if you want to do that. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/custom-dns/

ah yes, you got it.
So now I have to go back to my old nameservers. So I lost 12 bucks.
Thanks for the help, really appreciate it!
