I cannot find the necessary details for my domain service provider. Could you kindly help me. The instructions here aren’t taking me anywhere. Would you be able to access my DNS records or whatever data is needed when connecting an existing domain from another service provider?
I would very much appreciate your help, I cannot continue navigating these WordPress pages, I’m completely lost and annoyed.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

  • Hey there @maisonalive , I’d be glad to help. This article goes into great detail, but in a nutshell, you’ll want to do three things to connect your WordPress.com site to an existing domain.

Choose a paid plan: If you only need to connect a domain, the personal plan will do that, remove ads, and provide a handful of helpful features. It will also give you direct support, so you can quickly resolve any questions you have. You can compare plans here; if you have questions just let us know.

Connect the domain: You’ll be asked to choose a domain, or you can add a domain at any time using these steps. If your domain is already registered, you can opt to transfer it to our services or connect it using DNS settings. It sounds like you want to do that second option. Again, we’re here to advise if you’re not sure.

Update the domain’s settings: Typically you’ll just change its name servers to ours so we can manage DNS for you, but we can help find the correct A records if you want to keep your current DNS provider.

From there, it’s just a matter of waiting for the internet to catch up with the changes, but you can also contact support so we can verify it all looks correct.

And here’s a link for purchasing the Personal plan. Getting this will get you access to direct support at this link. Let us know if you need more help!
