DNS server

  Hello

  I have a wordpress site which is hosted via wordpress. The domain name Whois lookup is showing:
  Name Server:DOMAIN.DOES.NOT.RESOLVE.ISPAPI.NET
  Name Server:DOMAIN.NAME.HAS.EXPIRED.ISPAPI.NET

  http://www.whois.com/whois/filmhubse.org

  As far as I can see nothing has expired and the wordpress name servers are up. Why has this happened and how do I go about resolving it.

  This is the result of using the domain helper:

  Although filmhubse.org has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers. If your domain is mapped to a self-hosted site, then your configuration may be fine as currently set up. If you wish to host your site at WordPress.com, you will need to update your nameservers as outlined below. To learn about how to correctly map an existing domain, please see our documentation.

  Hi, thanks for the reply. As far as I can see the domain is using wordpress as it’s name server, and was until a couple of days ago. Nothing should have changed:

  A filmhubse.org handled by WordPress.com
  NS filmhubse.org handled by WordPress.com
  CNAME *.filmhubse.org handled by WordPress.com
  MX filmhubse.org mail handled by ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. with priority 1
  MX filmhubse.org mail handled by ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. with priority 10
  MX filmhubse.org mail handled by ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. with priority 10
  MX filmhubse.org mail handled by ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. with priority 5
  MX filmhubse.org mail handled by ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM. with priority 5

  The WordPress.com nameservers are:
  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  Please be patient while waiting for Staff help. It’s the holiday season and there is a backlog.

  Hi, how do I see which servers the domain is using when it just says handled by wordpress? The MX records are correct, we have the mail going through google.

  The filmhubse is mapped ok and there are no other settings to change really, everything looks right according to the wordpress help.

  I need to know why DNS can no longer resolve this site all of a sudden when seemingly nothing has changed?

  Hi there!

  Your name servers are not set up correctly. As you stated in your initial post they are currently set to:

  Name Server:DOMAIN.DOES.NOT.RESOLVE.ISPAPI.NET
  Name Server:DOMAIN.NAME.HAS.EXPIRED.ISPAPI.NET

  http://who.is/whois/filmhubse.org

  This usually means that you let your domain expire. You’ll need to log into your account with your registrar and renew your domain. Then change your name servers back to the WordPress.com ones timethief listed above.
