DNS settings
-
Hi
I want to use the email and webmail on my domain, but I also want my domain name to point to my wordpress blog so can someone tell me if what I’ve done is correct please?
Firstly, I’ve pointed the nameservers from my domain to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM, NS2.WORDPRESS.COM and NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
Then, I’ve used the custom DNS records option under My Dashboard>Settings>Domains>Edit DNS (sarahfarragher.co.uk is set as the primary domain) to update the settings to:
MX 10 MAIL.SARAHFARRAGHER.CO.UK.
CNAME webmail SARAHFARRAGHER.CO.UK
A webmail 174.123.47.59
A mail 174.123.47.59I’ve copied these settings closely from the Plesk DNS settings for my domain. Obviously no-one can tell me categorically that this will work, but I’m completely new to this and just want to know if I’m going in the right direction. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Have you paid for the domain mapping upgrade? And have you followed these instructions? http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

It takes up to 72 hours for the change to populate throughout the internet. If you wish to confirm that all is done correctly then you can contact Staff http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Yes, I thought that’s why it’s not redirecting. Do the custom DNS records look ok? Thanks for your help.

Hi Sarah,

MX 10 MAIL.SARAHFARRAGHER.CO.UK.
CNAME webmail SARAHFARRAGHER.CO.UK
A webmail 174.123.47.59
A mail 174.123.47.59Are they in the right format? Thanks.
