DNS Settings

  I used to have my domain cabalcloud.com used for my wordpress.com website, but it has long since been out of action and the domain has just been used for e-mail traffic.
  I have just been made aware that the domain’s nameservers are pointing to ns1.wordpress.com and ns2.wordpress.com which means all DNS settings will be managed through wordpress.com.
  I need access to the DNS settings, but can find neither the domain associated with my basic account, nor any DNS settings. Please can you help me locate them. I plan on changing the nameservers, but need the A record and MX record settings before I can do this!

  Hi,

  Have you tried to access this area https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/cabalcloud.com/name-servers/cabalcloud.com to check the DNS settings of your website? If the cabalcloud.com domain was used on wordpress.com, this should be the place to find its DNS settings.

  Hi, you’d need a mapping upgrade to manage our DNS. The domain is registered elsewhere, though, and even if it were here, you could point it to whatever name servers you’d like.

  I’d recommend that, or if you’d like to manage the existing settings, log in as @theknowledgecloud, re-add mapping (which requires a plan), and you’ll have access.
