DNS setup and old blog access
-
Hello all,
I have moved the blog
http://ecolesdemennecy.wordpress.com
to a self hosted blog
http://mennecy.net/ecolesdemennecyBefore and after the move, the blog was mapped as a domain name
http://ecolesdemennecy.comHowever, I need to keep an access to the old blog, in order to transfer files that I uploaded on the old blog.
BUT: the url of the old blog points to the new site.
How can I setup the DNS of WordPress in order to have the url
http://ecolesdemennecy.wordpress.com pointing to the old location, without to change the DNS setup of ecolesdemennecy.com?Thank you in advance for the help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

How can I setup the DNS of WordPress in order to have the url
http://ecolesdemennecy.wordpress.com pointing to the old location, without to change the DNS setup of ecolesdemennecy.com?If we delete your domain mapping subscription users who visit http://ecolesdemennecy.wordpress.com will go to the old site and visitors to http://ecolesdemennecy.com will go to the new blog location. If that’s what you want I can take care of that for you.
If you want the url http://ecolesdemennecy.wordpress.com to keep redirecting to the new site you can still access the content of the old site from your WP admin login, linked below:
https://ecolesdemennecy.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
Let me know which way you want to go and I’ll help make sure you have everything you need.

Hello lizthefair! (from France)
I have just found a workaround.
Instead of targeting http://ecolesdemennecy.wordpress.com
I have searched for the URL
http://ecolesdemennecy.wordpress.com/wp-adminAnd I was there where I wanted. I am now able to catch the old content of this blog.
Do not change anything in the DNS setup!
Thank you for the answer. I love the happiness engineering!
